CME
The Royal College of Physicians of London has awarded 19 credits of CPD accreditation to the 14th Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology.
The European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology Skin and Sexual Health: A Challenge for Europe is recognised by the American Academy of Dermatology for 18.0 hour(s) of AAD category 1 CME credit and may be used toward the American Academy of Dermatology's Continuing Medical Education Award.
Climate and Clothing
The average weather tends to be mild and sunny, but rain may be expected. So please bring a coat and umbrella.
Currency/Credit Cards/Banking
The currency in the United Kingdom is pounds sterling (£), which is subdivided into 100 pence. International credit cards are accepted as payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops. Exchange offices and machines are available throughout the city and at all the International airports.
Registration fees will however be processed in EUROS (€) only. On-site payments will be able to be made in STERLING (£). Accommodation and excursion payments will be in STERLING (£) only.

The client participates in all tours and events at his/her own risk. Participants are advised to take out insurance against loss, accidents or damage that could be incurred during the Congress. Electricity
If you are travelling from outside the UK, remember to bring electrical adaptors for any electrical appliances you may have packed. The electricity supply in the UK is 240V 50Hz.
Exhibition
A large exhibition will run alongside the Congress. All exhibits will be integrated with the main Congress areas. Interested companies are advised to contact the Congress Secretariat.
Force Majeure
In the event of the entire Congress having to be cancelled owing to force majeure then the Organiser cannot accept liability for any claims for damages and/or losses.
Lunches
Lunches can be purchased in advance on the registration form on Thursday and Friday.

Name Badge
All delegates and accompanying persons will receive a name badge. Badges must be worn for all congress activities.
Passport & Visa Requirements
All foreign visitors to the UK must possess a passport valid for at least the next three months, except for EU nationals, who only need their national identity card. Participants requiring a visa should apply immediately to the British Embassy or Consulate in their country in order to avoid delay in travel to the Congress. The Congress Secretariat is able to assist delegates by processing the Official Invitations on request.
Poster Boards
Presenting authors of accepted posters will receive further information about the size, format and location of their posters prior to the Congress. Velcro will be provided to fix your poster to the board. Any posters received and accepted which are not mounted during the Congress will show the title and author’s name plus a “Not Presented” message.

The full registration fee will apply for any forms received after 30th June 2005.
Registrations received after 30th September 2005 will be processed as on-site registrations.
Reservations for the various events included in the registration fee must be indicated on the Registration Form.
Fellowships
300 grants of substantially reduced registrations (€100) will be provided by the Congress organisers to facilitate attendance at the Congress for those dermato-venereologists of reduced economic means. Click here for Guidelines and Application Details.
Certificate of Attendance
Registered participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
Official Language
English will be the official language of the meeting. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
Oral Presentations
Computer projection facilities only will be available in the meeting rooms. Presenting authors will receive all technical information and details prior to the Congress in order to ensure the smooth running of sessions.
Poster Presentations
The poster display will be located within the main exhibition. Presenting authors will receive all technical information and details prior to the Congress. |
