London’s latest attraction the British Airways London Eye is 450ft tall making it the world’s highest observation wheel and London’s fourth tallest structure. You will experience a totally new perspective of some of the Capital’s most famous landmarks and a birds-eye view across an approximate 30 miles radius of London. There are 32 fully enclosed, high tech capsules, each accommodating up to 25 people, taking 30 minutes to complete one full 360 degree rotation.

3 - HISTORIC AND MODERN LONDON WITH A PUB LUNCH AND THAMES CRUISE
WESTMINSTER ABBEY – Come with us to see the famous Royal Chapels, where English Monarchs have been buried since Saxon times! The Abbey is our most important church and has been the site of almost every coronation since 1066. Last seen by millions world-wide at the funerals of Diana, Princess of Wales and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, it is here that we hold most of our important State, Royal and Religious ceremonies and celebrations. When services prohibit a visit inside the Abbey we will visit the Chapter House instead.
CHANGING OF THE GUARD AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE – We alight near The Mall, and either go to the London residence of Her Majesty the Queen, Buckingham Palace, to see the Changing of the Foot Guard, or to Horseguards Parade, to see the Changing of the Household Cavalry. Both are wonderful, colourful spectacles and a photographer’s paradise!
TRADITIONAL ENGLISH PUB LUNCH AT THE ALBERT – This distinguished pub has survived the Blitz and 1960’s redevelopment. It was built in 1864, named in honour of Queen Victoria’s husband, the Prince Consort. On the walls hang portraits of British Prime Ministers from Salisbury to an autographed one of Tony Blair. Members of Parliament often dine here and for their convenience a division bell is installed.
CRUISE ON THE RIVER THAMES – A delightful cruise along the Thames, gliding smoothly through the heart of London where you will enjoy some superb riverside views of our majestic buildings.
TOWER OF LONDON & THE CROWN JEWELS – Quite simply the most impressive medieval fortress in Britain! The White Tower was built by William the Conqueror, back in 1078. Since then, it has seen the execution of three Queens of England and the torture of numerous prisoners, it has also been a zoo, a mint and most importantly a royal palace. Today you can see the Beefeaters, learn the legend of the ravens and marvel at the magnificent Crown Jewels.
ANCIENT CITY OF LONDON – The City is the oldest part of London and contains most of our main financial and legal institutions. There’s so much to see it’s almost breathtaking! We will see many famous buildings, old and new, and hear about the famous Fire of London, the plagues, the origins of London, its people and so much more.
ST PAUL’S CATHEDRAL – This magnificent church is the masterpiece of Sir Christopher Wren. Completed in 1710 after just 35 years, it is today the seat of the Bishop of London. You will have the opportunity to take photographs.

4 - WINDSOR CASTLE, HAMPTON COURT PALACE AND CREAM TEA
RUNNYMEDE – Here we shall see where King John was forced to seal the Magna Carta in June 1215.
WINDSOR CASTLE – Windsor is the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, the home of Her Majesty Queen
Elizabeth II. Your visit includes Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, the most famous dolls’ house in the world, and St George’s Chapel. You will also be able to see Changing of the Guard* take place.
LUNCH & SHOPPING IN WINDSOR – The restaurant is situated in the heart of Windsor, just 200 metres from the castle gates (tour price does not include lunch).
HAMPTON COURT – Set on the banks of the River Thames, Henry VIII honeymooned with four of his six wives here. We visit the State Apartments and the spectacular formal gardens set in over 60 acres.

5 - BEST OF THE COTSWOLDS
THE COTSWOLDS – Just 60 miles west of London lies the Cotswolds. It's landscape shaped by wool and stone and a place that William Morris called “an earthly paradise.” Here, the softly undulating hillsides play second fiddle as the backdrop to the prettiest towns and villages in England. This tour allows you time to explore some of these villages for yourselves, stopping off at the villages of Burford, Bourton on-the-water and Stow-on the-Wold.
BLENHEIM PALACE GARDENS – We arrive at Blenheim via Woodstock the gateway to the Cotswolds for those traveling from London. Here we visit the gardens landscaped by Capability Brown. Then via Blaidon, burial place of Churchill, we pass through Witney, then by Minster Lovell to Burford.
BURFORD – A thriving old wool town- set in the hills of the Windrush Valley built along a wide high street running steeply down to an old stone bridge that spans the River Windrush. A town full of old wool merchants' home built between the 15th and the 17th centuries. Time for lunch and shopping. Then, onward through the Windrush and Dickler Valley and into Gloucestershire to Bourton-on-the- Water. Often called the “Venice of the Cotswolds”. Finally, we travel to Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds at 800 feet situated between the valleys of the
Dickler and the Evenlode. The church of St. Edward was used as a prison for over a 1000 royalists captured during one of the last battles of the Civil War near Stow in 1646. It also has one of the largest market squares and is noted for its antique shops and teashops.

6 - GREENWICH, LEEDS CASTLE, CANTERBURY, DOVER
A day in the Garden of England - much of our journey is over the old Pilgrims' Route used by the characters of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.
GREENWICH - Leaving central London we follow the course of the river Thames downstream for a photo stop at maritime Greenwich, here we can admire the magnificent riverside buildings of the former Royal Naval College and the National Maritime Museum. The Zero Meridian Line runs through the Old Royal Observatory and we can see, in dry dock, the ‘Cutty Sark’.
CANTERBURY - This fascinating, medieval city has been centre of English Christianity since St. Augustine arrived in 597. The magnificent Cathedral, dating from the eleventh century is the seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury and contains Royal tombs and glorious 13th century stained glass. It was also the scene of the gruesome murder of Thomas Becket in 1170 and is a splendid example of medieval architecture at its finest.
DOVER - Dover is the key to England's fascinating history and here we can view the famous White Cliffs and the Castle which standing 400ft above sea level dates back to the 12th century.
LEEDS CASTLE - Quite unusually, Leeds Castle sits on an island, surrounded by extensive grounds, was once described by Lord Conway as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’ . The Barbican, constructed during the reign of Edward I, is unique in that it is made up of three parts, each having its own entrance, drawbridge, gateway and portcullis, it contains a superb collection of medieval furnishings, tapestries and Impressionist art, as well as an aviary of rare birds, a vineyard and a maze.
